The empowerment of women is vital for improving their social, economic, and health status, and it plays a key role in achieving sustainable development. As part of NEOTERIC Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility, we revisited Mrs. Okeikwue’s carpentry workshop, providing her with an electric cutting machine and an electric sawing machine to enhance her daily business operations.

Prior to our visit, her workshop lacked modern tools, making these machines a critical addition. We were delighted to meet Miss Mariam, her female apprentice, who expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Empowerment means fostering skills for self-sufficiency, reducing reliance on charity.” Inspired by Mrs. Okeikwue, Mariam embraced carpentry as a career.

Mrs. Okeikwue, filled with gratitude, shared, “Thank you for remembering me. To the directors, may God bless you abundantly. Words cannot capture my joy.” Her response highlights the profound impact of this support on her business and community.
